In summary the principles are:
- People support what they create. Engage the people who care.
- Create accountability by working on things people truly care about; that matter to them.
- Through conversation we discover what people truly care about and find shared meaning.
- To change the conversation, change who’s in it.
- Expect leaders to come from anywhere. Encourage dispersed leadership.
- Focusing on what works releases energy. Ask: ‘What’s possible here and who cares?’
- The wisdom is within us to solve our problems. When people are in regular reflective practice together and have trust wisdom is available and doesn’t need to be imported from outside.
- Everything is a failure in the middle. When things aren’t going well there is the opportunity to learn our way to success. Gather and think together for solutions.
- Relationships are essential to leadership and to work. Build trust, be generous, forgive and be kind to each other.
